Help us share God’s love through food! Each week, Bookbags of Love provides weekend meals for families at Mint Hill and Lebanon Road Elementary Schools — and we need your help to keep up with the growing need.

Fruit Cups, Granola Bars and Oatmeal Packets
Bring your hands to help pack — or bring food to fill the bags!
We’re collecting peanut butter, jelly, oatmeal packets, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, and elbow macaroni, easy mac cups, mac & cheese dinner box, canned tuna/chicken, Chef Boyardee, kids soups, granola/ceral bars, canned fruit, can veggies, canned beans, fruit cups, one pound bag of Rice, crackers packed in sleeves
Every food or monetary donation and every hour of service makes a difference.

Highway Cleanup
Join us for our next highway cleanup on Saturday in July 11, starting at 7:30 AM (We need to beat the heat). If it should happen to rain, the rain date will be April 18th. Becky Barnes & Al Millman are heading up the volunteers and they need everyone to pitch in. Volunteers will help keep our community clean while serving together outdoors. \We hope you can join us for this hands-on opportunity to serve.

ASP Free Pancake Breakfast
Come hungry & help build hope.
Join us for a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, March 21, from 8:00–11:00 am in the BRUMC Family Life Center. We’ll be serving pancakes, sausage, coffee, juice, and more.
The breakfast is free, and donations will be accepted. All proceeds will support our 2026 mission with the Appalachia Service Project, helping repair homes and provide safe, warm housing for families in need.

Ash Wednesday Service
We invite you to begin the season of Lent with an Ash Wednesday worship service in the sanctuary. Lent is not about rushing ahead or checking spiritual boxes; it is a season of slowing down, paying attention, and returning to what matters most.
During the service, the imposition of ashes will remind us not only of our mortality, but also of God’s mercy—steady, patient, and present, even when life feels disrupted. This service offers a meaningful opportunity for reflection, prayer, and grounding as we enter the Lenten journey together. (There will be NO FUEL UP)

Formal Valentine’s Day Dinner & Dance Fundraiser
Celebrate a magical evening of Love & Light at our formal Valentine’s Day Dinner and Dance on February 14, 2026, from 6:30–9:30 PM at the Family Life Center of Blair Road UMC, 9135 Blair Road, Mint Hill, NC. Enjoy elegant appetizers, a full dinner, decadent desserts, and special beverages, all while dancing the night away under the guidance of our Master of Ceremonies. Formal attire is encouraged, and this is an adults-only event (no childcare provided).
All proceeds support our Teen Ministry, Vacation Bible School, and Girl Scouts, helping empower and encourage the next generation. Tickets are $25 per person and must be purchased by February 9th. The Roof Above
On Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, we will prepare and serve a meal for the men at Roof Above. This ministry is a vital way we share Christ’s love, and we need your help!
Volunteers Needed: Join us for meal prep at noon, then whoever would like to join us to serve the meal we head out at 4:00 PM to serve at The Roof Above located at 1210 North Tryon. We usually finish serving by 6:00 PM.
Cakes Needed: Bring a whole, uncut cake to the church on Sunday, Sept. 21 or Monday, Sept. 22.
